Annual Archaeology Days are Postponed until Further Notice

YOUTH DAY
ADULT PROGRAM

Every October in recognition of archaeology month, the Wanapum and Grant PUD invite members of the public and press to Archaeology Days which takes place over two days at the Wanapum Heritage Center. This event provides a unique opportunity for children and adults to come face-to-face with the Wanapum way of life. The Wanapum extend this opportunity to the community to convey the significance of protecting the cultural resources of this region. Demonstrations, lectures, and displays are available throughout the day. Lunch is provided.

  • Weaving
  • Beadwork
  • Basket Weaving
  • Flint Knapping
  • River Patrol
  • Atlatl
  • Wanapum Canoe
